A growing number of sports venues, airports and cultural facilities are choosing conventional ETFE materials for their roofs and facades to create an open, outdoor atmosphere in a controlled, conditioned environment. ViewScape replaces conventional ETFE materials with a customizable solution to specific projects allowing designers to redefine what is possible in long-span and lightweight structures.
The most obvious opportunities in sports are longspan roof and façade applications
ViewScapeTM may be the ideal solution for any project looking to maximize natural light or achieve an “outdoor” look and feel in a space that also must provide fan comfort and climate control. The most obvious opportunities in sports are longspan roof and façade applications in large, enclosed or partially-enclosed stadiums and ballparks.

ViewScapeTM was designed with sustainability in mind.
ViewScape is lightweight and strong, so it requires significantly less secondary structure in the form of structural steel, reinforcing cables, and aluminum extrusions. The clarity and solar properties of ViewScape reduce demand for lighting and cooling energy, making it an ideal product for clients who seek more environmentally responsible venues.

Once the idea for ViewScapeTM was born, we sought a specialized research and manufacturing firm to bring this new product to life
Over the last several years and through the process of delivering numerous stadiums across the US, we have seen the need for a more robust and customizable transparent foil material.

ViewScape is Customizable for Visible Light Transmittance (VLT) and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC)
We can tailor the layers of the composite to achieve 5%, 20%, 30% and even 60% VLTs, which varies the reflectivity of the material from the outside, similar to a pair of sunglass lenses, while maintaining transparency from the inside. The solar properties of ViewScape can be customized to meet the aesthetic vision and the energy performance goals of any project. Madico also offers ViewScape PrismTM which is a patented coating that offers reflective ROYGBIV color.
